Start an application on a tenant's behalf

Pre-fill an application for the tenant; the tenant still e-signs the guarantor agreement.

Add tenant → Start an application on a tenant's behalf opens a short wizard that pre-fills the application for the tenant.

The steps are Tenant → Cosigner → Review and send, with a Tenancy step in between for companies holding a master agreement. Any section can be left for the tenant with Leave for the tenant — pre-filling is a head start, not an obligation.

Two things to know before sending:

  • The tenant still completes and signs. Pre-filled sections are marked as provided by your company and the tenant is asked to check and confirm them. The guarantor agreement is always e-signed by the tenant personally.

  • Under a master agreement, the Tenancy step is the confirmation of rent details. What is entered there is not asked of anyone again, and the tenant sees those details as read-only with an option to request a change. Without a master agreement there is no Tenancy step, and the confirmation of rent details is requested from the tenancy manager later in the process.

The Review step states, per section, whether details are confirmed, pre-filled for the tenant to amend, or left for the tenant to complete.
