Yes. One applicant can be named as guarantor but would need to guarantee the entire rental amount. Alternatively, if the landlord prefers, each tenant can apply separately for their proportionate share of the rent. There is no additional charge to the other tenant if the landlord is happy with one guarantor covering the full amount.
